Dyeing yarn at Bayview Fiber Arts

Offering you a glimpse of the dyeing process. It's a lot of fun!

Dyestock ready to go.

Jewels of the East Coast in the first stages.
I have a hook over the stove that enables me to control how far into the pot the yarn goes.
The rack on top of the pot allows the yarn to rest while more dye is added and stirred into the water in the pot.

Jewels of the East Coast continued.

Wool soup anyone?
The two skeins at the top are
Jewels of the East Coast and the bottom skein is Purple Pandemonium.

The final product, Jewels of the East Coast sock yarn.
