Behind the Scenes

Offering you a glimpse of the dyeing process for Bayview Fiber Arts.

Dyestock ready to go.

Merino sock yarn that has been soaked to enable the dye to penetrate the fiber.

After application of one color.

Jewels of the East Coast in the first stages.
I have a hook over the stove that enables me to control how far into the pot the yarn goes.
The rack on top of the pot allows the yarn to rest while more dye is added and stirred into the water in the pot.
